Common questions
Do you read my inbox or messages?
No. autoremind.ai only sends. Even reply detection works without it: each follow-up invites replies to a tracked address alongside yours, so we learn that someone answered without ever connecting to your inbox or reading a word of what they wrote.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pause, edit, or cancel any reminder at any time. No reconfiguring, no lock-in.
What file types can I attach?
PDF, DOCX, PNG, JPG, and XLSX are all supported. Perfect for invoices, contracts, and delivery receipts.
What channels do you support?
Gmail is where autoremind.ai is built to work: it sends from your own address, in the original thread, and reply detection only works here. Slack delivery is available too. Outlook and Microsoft Teams are not supported.
What do I get for free?
Three reminders running at once, for as long as you like. No card, no countdown. When you want a fourth going at the same time, that is when Starter is worth $4, and nothing you have already set up ever stops.
How many messages does one reminder send?
Up to four, each one firmer than the last, on the schedule the AI works out from what you wrote. Past the fourth a follow-up stops persuading and starts harassing, so that is where it ends, on every plan.
Free and Starter, side by side
There are two plans, and one difference that matters: how many reminders you can have running at the same time. Free gives you 3. Starter gives you 10 for $4 a month.
Everything else on the free plan is the real product, not a demonstration of it. The AI writes every message. The tone gets firmer each time nobody answers. Emails leave from your own Gmail, inside the thread the other person already has, and Slack works for chasing colleagues. Four things are held back on free: file attachments, seven of the ten reminder slots, the fuller analytics, and priority support. That is the entire list.

Both plans send up to four messages per reminder. Not three on free and four on Starter: four on both. Past the fourth, a follow-up stops persuading and starts pestering, so that is where every sequence ends no matter what you pay.
When $4 starts to pay for itself
$4 a month is $48 a year. That is the only number you have to beat, so here is the arithmetic rather than the claim.
Take an invoice. Say you billed a client $600 and the payment is thirty days late. You send a polite nudge and hear nothing. A week later a firmer one goes out. You are paid after the third message. Set that one invoice against $48 a year and it covers Starter for 150 months, which is twelve and a half years.
You do not need an invoice for it to work out. Starter has to recover $48 of anything, once, in a year, to have paid for itself: a deposit you would have written off, an approval that unblocked a week of work, a quote the client simply forgot about.
Per slot it is smaller still. The $4 buys seven more reminders running at once, so each extra chase costs about 57 cents a month.
That $600 is an example to show the shape of the sum, not a measurement of what autoremind.ai recovers. Put a real overdue invoice on the free plan and watch what the sequence actually does. That is what the free plan is for.
What happens when you hit 3
Nothing breaks. Your 3 live reminders keep running: every message already scheduled goes out on time, the tone still escalates, and each sequence still stops when someone replies by email. Reaching the limit freezes nothing you have already set up.
The limit is checked in exactly one place: when you try to create a new reminder. If 3 are already live, autoremind.ai says so and gives you two ways forward.
The first is free. Finish one. A reminder stops being live once it has run its course or once you close it, and the slot opens straight away. If you chase one thing at a time, you may never need a fourth.
The second is Starter. $4 a month takes you to 10 at once. Reminders you built on the free plan carry straight over, still running, still on schedule. Nothing is recreated and nothing is lost.
There is no countdown and no point at which the free plan stops working. 3 reminders at a time is the offer, for as long as you want it.
Billing, cancellation and your data
Starter is $4 a month, billed monthly, in US dollars. There is no annual term and no discount for paying ahead, which means there is no longer commitment for you to turn down.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling does not cut you off in the middle of a month: you keep Starter until the end of the period you have already paid for, and at that point the account returns to the free plan. Your account is not closed and your history is not wiped. You go back to 3 live reminders rather than none.
On data, the useful thing to know is what autoremind.ai is not able to do. Connecting Gmail grants exactly two permissions: permission to send, and permission to read your own address so the product knows which account it is sending from. There is no permission to open your inbox, so it cannot, on either plan.
That would normally break reply detection, since the usual way to notice a reply is to read the mailbox. autoremind.ai does it another way: each follow-up carries a tracked reply address alongside yours, so an answer reaches you and tells autoremind.ai that an answer arrived. It learns that someone replied. It never learns what they wrote.
The long version is in the terms and the privacy policy.
More pricing questions
Is there a free trial of Starter?
No, and there is not going to be one. There is a free plan instead, which is the better deal: 3 live reminders, no credit card, no expiry date. A trial takes your card and starts a clock. The free plan does neither. If you have read somewhere that autoremind.ai runs a 7-day trial, or that Starter costs $9 a month, both are wrong. The prices on this page are the only ones.
Is there an annual plan, or a discount for paying yearly?
No. Starter is $4 a month, billed monthly, and that is the whole price list. Paying ahead buys nothing, so there is nothing to work out.
Are there Team or Pro tiers?
No. Free and Starter are the only two plans. Team and Pro were listed here once, with prices and feature lists and no way to buy either, which made it hard to tell the real offer from the ambition. Both were removed.
Do Outlook or Microsoft Teams work?
No. Email goes out through Gmail and chat goes out through Slack, on both plans. Outlook and Microsoft Teams are not supported. If Gmail is not the account you send from, autoremind.ai is not the right tool for you yet.
How the price compares
Two competitor prices, stated with their billing basis attached, because the billing basis is where these comparisons usually go wrong.
Boomerang for Gmail's cheapest paid tier, Personal, is $4.98 a month billed annually. Mixmax's cheapest paid tier, Inbox Copilot, is $29 per user a month billed annually, or $34 billed monthly. Both figures were read from those vendors' own pricing pages on 22 September 2026 and checked again on 1 October 2026.
Starter is $4 a month billed monthly. The comparison that matters is not the gap between those numbers though, because a price does not tell you whether the tool writes the message for you or just reminds you to write it yourself.
